“If I told them once, I told them a hundred times…first Spinal Tap, THEN Puppet Show!” -Jeanine (This is Spinal Tap)
When we showed up this morning for soundcheck, there was a large puppet stage setup right in front of the choir risers! It reminded me of the scene in Spinal Tap quoted above, where on the marquee at the amusement park, Spinal Tap got second billing to a puppet show.
But in this case, we didn’t mind. It was a cute show on the parable about building your house on the rock instead of the sand. And the portable stage was removed before the choir took the risers. I snuck down front to get some of these photos.
We played Shackles and Days of Elijah and they both cooked. People were really getting into it, especially the 2nd service…that’s about when the band’s coffee kicks in anyway.
Looking forward to the concerts next month.
